We received 236 responses, and we have carefully considered every one. You told us what matters most to you: traffic and parking, the height and scale of the buildings, Stanmore’s character, local services and the need for clearer information about the plans.
How have the plans developed?
Since the first consultation, Stanmore Gardens Limited has reviewed the feedback and carried out further work on the design, transport and other important details. You can now see how the plans have developed and share your views before we submit a planning application.
Our Vision for Stanmore Gardens
- Bring this underused brownfield site behind The Broadway to life.
- Create welcoming green spaces and safer, accessible walking and cycling routes for everyone to enjoy.
- Provide a mix of new homes, including affordable homes for local people.
- Create new places to shop and spend time, support a thriving town centre.
- Improve local shopping and services whilst keeping parking for Lidl and other existing commercial tenants.
- Support a safer, livelier and more welcoming town centre.
