Better Connections with Town Centre Parking

You raised important questions about traffic and parking during the first consultation. Here is how the plans are responding.

Parking

• We’re keeping all 142 parking spaces for Lidl and the other businesses you use today.
• We’re providing around 20 parking spaces for new residents, prioritised for larger family homes and wheelchair-accessible homes.
• Delivery and servicing arrangements would be agreed with the Council as part of the planning process.
• Future residents would not be eligible for local on-street parking permits.
• We’re installing new electric vehicle charging points and secure cycle parking.

Getting around the site

• Drivers would enter and leave the site from Dennis Lane.
• People walking and cycling would be able to enter from The Broadway and Rainsford Close.
• New and improved walking routes would make it easier to move through the site.
• Stanmore Underground station is around an eight-minute walk from the site.
• Clearer walking links towards The Broadway, Stanmore Recreation Ground and Stanmore Country Park.
• Traffic surveys are under way. The results and analysis will be included in the Transport Assessment submitted with the planning application and will be publicly available.
